Why We Do Grass-Fed Beef?
Because It's What We Know Best!
All cattle start on grass, but it’s the finishing that truly sets the flavor and quality apart. In our experience, there’s nothing better than ranch-raised beef purchased directly from the rancher, whether it’s grass-finished or grain-finished. Ranchers take pride in their work, ensuring the finishing process—whatever it may be—is done right, resulting in top-tier beef.
At our ranch, we absolutely love the taste of grass-fed and grass-finished beef. That’s why we’re committed to raising our cattle this way, ensuring they enjoy a rich forage diet from start to finish.
It’s important to note that "grass-fed" is often used loosely in the beef industry. In reality, grass isn’t the only thing cattle enjoy on pasture. Our pastures are thriving ecosystems filled with wild forage, including wildflowers, shrubs, tree leaves, and even the occasional weed. Cattle are natural grazers and happily munch on anything that catches their fancy. This variety adds to the rich, complex flavors of our beef.
When ranchers choose to grain-finish beef, they typically keep their cattle on pasture while adding grain to their diet to speed up the finishing process. It’s important to remember that no cow can live solely on grain; they still need forage or roughage. This approach allows cattle to reach butchering weight more quickly. On the other hand, pasture-finished cattle, relying solely on forage, might take up to 30 months to reach the same stage.
Technically - We Are Pasture-Fed & Finished
I absolutely love this video, where he does an amazing job breaking down the nutrition of pasture-raised beef. However, it’s important to point out that the research primarily focuses on cattle raised entirely on pasture versus those finished in a feedlot. In our view, cattle that stay on pasture their entire lives, even if they’re grain-finished, provide the best nutritional value in beef.

Will We Do Grain-Finished Beef?
Yes, we're excited to explore grain-finished beef in the future! While we're still mastering the art of grain finishing, it may take some time before we offer our own grain-finished products. Fortunately, we have connections with experienced ranchers who excel in this area. So, if you prefer grain-finished beef, we’d be happy to connect you with experts who know exactly how to do it right.

Meet The Family
We may not come from a long line of ranchers, but we’re proud to be the first in our families to start this incredible journey. With a fresh perspective, we’ve embraced a new approach to cattle ranching, passing down our beliefs and values to our children. Our goal is to keep enhancing sustainable ranching practices, producing even better beef, and creating a new outlet for those who appreciate top-quality grass-fed and finished beef. We’re excited about the future and the impact we’re making!

Our Current Practices
Pasture Raised Always
Our cattle roam freely year-round, even in winter, without ever being confined to pens for long periods. They live as nature intended—true grazers enjoying the open pasture. We’re committed to raising our Grass-Finished beef on natural forage, never feeding them grain, corn, or soy. Our supplements are purely natural, including Redmond Minerals and all-natural Vitalix tubs.
Even though it takes longer for grass-fed cattle to mature, we remain steadfast in our commitment to never using growth hormones or grain-based feeds. Antibiotics are only administered in life-threatening situations, such as injury or severe illness, and we never sell beef that has been treated with antibiotics at any stage of its life. We avoid synthetic vitamins and minerals, relying solely on natural food and supplements to ensure our beef is as nature intended—pure and all-natural.
Even when we choose to offer grain-finished beef, our cattle will always roam the pastures, staying true to our commitment to ethical and sustainable ranching.
Our Goal Practices
AMP Grazing
Adaptive Multi-Paddock (AMP) grazing is a forward-thinking and sustainable approach to livestock management that closely mirrors natural grazing behaviors. Unlike traditional methods, AMP grazing involves rotating cattle through multiple paddocks or pasture areas, giving each area ample time to recover before being grazed again. This technique not only promotes soil health and enhances biodiversity but also aids in natural carbon sequestration, making it a truly eco-friendly choice for both the environment and livestock.
At our ranch, we’re excited to make AMP grazing a cornerstone of our farming practices. Our plan is to create a series of non-permanent, smaller paddocks within our pastures, which we’ll rotate our cattle through based on forage availability and pasture health. By carefully managing grazing times and rest periods for each paddock, we can prevent overgrazing and encourage a diverse array of plant species to thrive. This approach benefits the land, provides our cattle with a rich and varied diet, and ultimately leads to healthier, more nutritious beef. We’re committed to implementing AMP grazing as part of our dedication to sustainable and responsible ranching.
This may seem like a lofty dream to some, but it's the vision we are passionately committed to achieving. Our goal is for our cattle to become completely self-sufficient, thriving in pastures with healthy ecosystems that naturally support their well-being. We are making a conscious transition away from harsh chemicals, vaccines, chemical de-wormers, and other traditional methods that can be toxic to cattle health. Our philosophy is simple: take care of the soil, and the soil will take care of our cattle. We know this journey is challenging, especially given our location where such practices are uncommon.
Despite the challenges, our commitment to creating a truly sustainable and self-sufficient system is unwavering. We recognize that this transformation won't happen overnight, but we are deeply passionate about setting a new standard in cattle farming. Our ultimate goal is to produce the highest quality grass-fed beef, raised in an environment that honors both nature and the animals. We’re excited to share our progress and successes with you, as we get closer to realizing this vision every day.
